Chamber Referral Groups
provide members valuable business leads
One of the biggest challenges of
all business people is to get client and
customer leads. Many have found that
the best leads come from one-on-one
referrals from people who know you
and trust you.
A leads group is a business referral
network that gives members the opportunity
to develop sources and contacts
that can help generate sales for their
business. The system works because
members of each group help each other
generate leads and new relationships.
A typical meeting includes all
group members giving their 30 second
elevator speech. Then on a rotating
basis, members present a 15-20 minute
“trade presentation” about their business,
to help other members learn more
about them and their company.

people would rather do business with
a known entity, and that providing a
referral reduces the risk factor for the
buyer because a recommendation carries
high value
Chamber members are welcome
to visit a group twice before joining. A
guest doesn’t even have to be a Chamber
member to visit; however, to be a
leads group member, a person’s business
must join the Chamber first. The
leads groups follow a non-competing
format; each is limited to one person
per industry or profession and slots are
filled on a first come, first served basis.
Currently, there are four Chamber
Leads Groups.
