Our members all join the Chamber
of different reasons. We offer great
benefits, lots of opportunities to connect
with others, and ways for you to market
your business and get new customers.
We have programs, events and committees
for you to join and attend. We have
a new website and new ways
we communicate – through
our Acorn monthly insert, this
brand new newsletter, and our
increased presence in social
media. Members can get involved,
attend events, serve
on committees, advertise, network,
mingle at a mixer, be
an Ambassador, or just stop
in the office, display business
cards and brochures, and
spend time with staff. Whew
– we are busy at the Chamber!

Our long-standing relationships allow
the Chamber to strategically partner
with the city, county, state, and fed-
eral elected officials and staff, with the
other chambers through the Chambers
of Commerce Alliance of Ventura and
Santa Barbara Counties, and with other
agencies that represent the interest of
business in the region. We are a respected
stakeholder that strives to make sure
our collective business voice
is heard as policies are made
and issues are solved.
The Camarillo Chamber
understands the importance
of a unified business voice on
issues that impact our members.
The Chamber, through
our Business Advocacy Committee,
continues an ongoing
effort to identify issues and
advocate on behalf of all business
interests. We endorse
business friendly candidates and evaluate
ballot issues and bills that impact
business. Whether it is having a strong
Public Policy Platform, hosting candidate
forums, going to Sacramento and
meeting with legislators at the Capitol,
or attending City Council meetings at
City Hall, we are making sure that Camarillo
has a healthy business environment
for you to do business.
Chamber brings together members and legislators
April 19 marked the first of the Camarillo Chamber’s Legislator
Meet & Greet series, with an intimate gathering to welcome Assemblyman
Jeff Gorell back from his one year tour in Afghanistan
with the US Navy.
On hand was Camarillo City Councilmember Don Waunch to
present Gorell with a certificate of appreciation from the City for
his service, as well as numerous business and governement leaders
eager to greet Gorell as he begins his campaign for reelection to the
California Assembly.
The coctail reception was held at Spanish Hills Country Club
and sponsored by Southern California Edison (SCE).
