<strong>Chamber</strong> AIMs to help our<br />

members: Advocate, Inform, Market<br />

Since 1940, the <strong>Camarillo</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> has been working “To<br />

promote and enhance a positive business<br />

and community environment.” That is<br />

the <strong>Chamber</strong>’s mission, which it accomplishes<br />

through a variety <strong>of</strong> programs and<br />

activities. The <strong>Chamber</strong> is involved with<br />

several lines <strong>of</strong> business on behalf <strong>of</strong> its<br />

members and the community:<br />

• Maintaining a strong local economy<br />

• Representing the interests <strong>of</strong> businesses<br />

to government<br />

• Making the community a better<br />

place to live and work<br />

• Promoting the community<br />

• Providing marketing and networking<br />

opportunities for members<br />

Community Involvement<br />

Members can participate on committees,<br />

on the Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, or become<br />

involved with one or more <strong>of</strong> the many<br />

groups — casual networking breakfasts<br />

and lunches at member restaurants; and<br />

Business @ Breakfast — a fast paced program<br />

with networking opportunities plus<br />

timely community information.<br />

The <strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong>fers members many<br />

ways to market their businesses to the<br />

public and other businesses. From paid<br />

advertising in numerous publications<br />

and online, to business expos and tourism<br />

pieces, we are committed to helping<br />

members get the word out about their services<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Directors<br />

The <strong>Chamber</strong> establishes its strategic<br />

plan and policies through a board <strong>of</strong> directors<br />

elected from the membership. The<br />

<strong>Camarillo</strong> <strong>Chamber</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Commerce</strong> is the<br />

one volunteer organization dedicated to<br />

maintaining and improving the business<br />

conditions in <strong>Camarillo</strong>. It will continue<br />

to provide strong leadership for the community<br />

through its volunteer leaders from<br />

the business community, its pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

staff and its relevant programs.<br />
