Corporate Management DivisionFollowing projects are in pipeline:Virtual Investment Management Competition: Toempower people with hands-on practical experience ofhandling financial market instruments, a series of virtualgames are being developed. Each player will be given avirtual seed cash to create his/her investment portfoliofrom different asset classes and investment opportunitiesavailable in Pakistan.Fluctuations in the scrip will be integrated with realmarket scenarios. Players having best returns onportfolios would be pinpointed/invited and offeredinternships at financial institutions, in addition toattractive gifts.In a subsequent phase of this ‘learn by playing’ system,teachers of financial institutions would be able to designcustomized competitions for their students.A virtual ATM machine is also being developed to teachkids how to operate an ATM machine for cashwithdrawals/deposits.Social Media Integration Apps: WDD is developingapps to integrate social media with trading system of LSEby providing personalized feeds to subscribers andtraders.Multimedia Financial Awareness: For theeffectiveness of financial awareness campaign, series oftraining video clips involving professional video makersis being planned. These clips will be published on websiteto public viewership.FACILITIES AND PROJECT MANAGEMENTBuilding Maintenance & Projects The Exchangesuccessfully completed refurbishing and renovation of allthe washrooms and stairs of the LSE Building. Works onfalse ceiling, floor polish and removal ofencroachments/shutters in the corridors of the building isin progress. Works on the mechanical ventilation has alsobeen completed. Provision of clean drinking water onevery floor of the building has been ensured throughinstallation of water filtration plant at the top of theBuilding.Rear Tower Plan: Authorities' approvals for theconstruction of rear tower of LSE Building are in the finalstages. The Exchange is fully committed to start the carparking basements project along with the rear tower asand when approval is granted. In this regard EOIs havebeen called from the contractors. Active liaison has beenestablished with LDA and other government agencies forachieving earlier results.Human Resource Management System: Acomprehensive system to accommodate all needs of HRdepartment is being developed. The system will cover andhandle entire tenure of employment starting fromrequisition till retirement covering advertisement, onlineapplication, candidate screening & selection, training &development, performance evaluation, incentive &benefits and archives.Information Dissemination System: A system tobroadcast corporate announcements, notices and lettersto traders, stakeholders and related capital marketinstitutions at their palmtops and inboxes, is beingdeveloped. The system is of vital significance duringconstruction of rear LSE Tower by digitizing and keepingtrack of series of correspondence with contractors/vendors.LIBRARY AND ARCHIVESMoving towards paperless environment, LSE archiveshave been are digitized. Now history data is a click awayand contents are searchable through variety of options.The Record Room of LSE has been revamped and the staffis efficiently handling and maintaining the office recordof the Exchange.
