This year, I have loved having the opportunityto support it further through leading the house. For me, the highlight of the year was certainlythe Dance Competition. Every year, SeniorBenton members enjoy conjuring up an amusing‘spectacle’ in which we aim to impress the panelthrough innovative costumes as opposed to ourability to dance, as one might expect. This year, thetheme Terrorism led us to awe the judges with ouroversized masks of politician’s faces. I also thoroughlyenjoyed co-directing our budding junioractresses for the House Drama event. Ella K wrotea fantastic play titled The Green Room, a shortdrama about the life of Abraham Lincoln.I hope that fellow members of Benton haverealised how enjoyable working with others toachieve a goal can be. I have been very impressedby Benton’s level of energy, determination and commitmentand it has been a pleasure to work withyou all. I’m eagerly anticipating the delights thatBenton will certainly not fail to deliver this comingyear!Bea C, Year13BodingtonHaving come last the previous year, ‘Bodingtonions’decided to really step up their game! Whether itwas dance, drama, music, fashion or sports day, everyone worked really hard and the huge amountsof effort paid off as, by the end of the year,Bodington rose to second place (and very close tofirst!).Senior Bodington did an exciting and originalacoustic version of La Roux’s Bulletproof inHouse Music. In House Dance, the seniors choreographedan explosive dance to the theme of gunand knife crime, whilst the juniors took place withtheir Recycling dance. In House Drama the judgeswere astounded by the juniors all-out performanceof an interpretation of Greek epic theatre: completewith amazing black and white costumes andface paint. Everyone embraced Bodington’s title ofParis for the house fashion, which saw some amazingoutfits including one solely created from paperclips!Overall Bodington did brilliantly and I can’twait to see how the house embraces next year’scompetition!Alice S, Year 13PotterWe had our black leggings, black tops, black shoes(minus Kitty who had the joy of being draggedacross the stage barefoot to look forward to) andof course it would not have been complete withoutour black lipstick a la Lady Gaga. Then began thehoopla of trying to remember all the moves we had
