ThusHouse Drama 2011commenced the routine of Potter senior schoolhouse dance which, by the way, we won!When you’re groggy and tired and you’retrekking to school at 7:30 in the morning, while youwould normally still be passed out with your headin a pillow, a rehearsal can seem like the last thingyou want to get to. However, with an injection ofeffort and skill and some perseverance, comes animmense sense of achievement;you managed to pullsomething off as a team (ofPotterites!).The house systemunifies pupils from differentyear groups and across differentforms. Nothing beatscheering on people fromyour house as they competein a house tournament, representingYOU. As a house,you compete together, wintogether and lose together,and through all that arebrought together.House Dance 2011Roxy M, Year 13WalkerWalker always had the reputation of being the ‘winning’house. Becoming Vice Captain in Year 12brought with it the responsibility of maintainingthis. I absolutely loved meeting all the girls andbeing part of the competitive environment.In terms of the competitions we did exceptionallywell, winning House Drama, Music and evensports day (something we never thought was possible!).The house wouldn’t be such a huge successwithout the commitment of all the girls and eventhe staff, who ran the relay in the name of Walkeron sports day.
