Maintains current knowledge ofrelevant hardware and software applications andtechnologies in area of expertise as assigned; generallyrecognized as a leader in the industry in their area ofexpertise; is sought out by others in their area ofexpertise for advice and guidance; viewed as a strategicplayer with incites into industry developments.Analyzes user needs to determine functionalrequirements for a wide variety of projects; performstechnical assessments aimed at improving clientsystems; performs functional allocations to identify tasksand their inter-relationships; researches, identifies, andrecommends resources required for task execution andcompletion; performs functional modeling based onrequirements analysis; develops new systems or updatesexisting systems to meet client needs. Also serves astechnical expert/technical advisor to clients in assignedsubject areas; recommends functional changes andidentifies areas for further investigation; generatesrecommendations to senior level client personnel;consults with clients to determine optimum design forassigned projects; develops strategies and pursuesopportunities for leveraging project funding sources.Identifies emergent relevant technologies that may resultin improvements to current processes.
