e) Constituting and earmarking mobile teams.f) All doctors and nurses, Government and private, to report to the nearest hospitals/ CHCs/PHCsg) All First Aid Teams to report at pre‐designated locations within their area of operation with theirkits.h) First Aid teams to transport the seriously injured to hospital.i) All back‐up teams to stand by.6.8.4 EMERGENT RELIEF OPERATIONS (Logistics)This team shall comprise of the officers/staff of the Transport department, Red Cross, Food andCivil Supplies and shall be responsible for;a) Transportation of relief materials to affected areas and shelters.b) Identification and assignment of teams to transport relief materials to shelters alreadyidentifiedc) Co‐ordinate and monitor all relief operations in the fieldd) All back‐up teams to stand by.6.8.5 SHELTER MANAGEMENT AND FREE KITCHEN OPERATIONThis team comprising of the following officials/staff/volunteers will be responsible for:a) Arrangement for food, drinking water, medicines, blankets, etc. in shelters.b) Arrangement for transportation and lighting facilities for shelters.c) Maintaining and keeping adequate stock of materials required for the construction oftemporary sheltersd) Operationalise and monitor all shelters/free kitchens. Check if food, drinking water,medicines, blankets, lighting facilities etc. are available in shelterse) Co‐ordinate with the core team for relief for arrangement of suppliesf) All back‐up teams to stand by.6.8.6 WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION RESPONSE STRUCTUREThis team shall comprise of officers/staff from the following departments and shall be responsiblefor:a) Ensuring the supply of safe drinking water to sheltersb) Arrangement of mobile teams and assigning specific operational areas for these teamsc) Co‐ordinate and monitor all operations in the fieldd) Activate additional/alternate sources of water‐supplye) Co‐ordinate with the core team for relief for arrangement of supplies for sanitation facilitiesDistrict Disaster Management Plan, East Khasi Hills District Page 49
