Fusion FP-188 pedestals and FPH-188 height drives
Pressurising from an external pressure source
A pressure-reducing valve must be fitted between the gas cylinder and the outlet connection of
the hose. The maximum pressure on the outlet side of the reducing valve must not exceed
18.9 bar (275 psi).
To pressurise the pedestal from an external pressure source, proceed as follows:
20
WARNING!
DO NOT adjust the pressure relief valve. Personal injury and pedestal
damage may occur.
Fig. 5 Column lock
(a) locked/ON position, (b) unlocking/OFF position
1. Set the column lock [6] to the ON position and fully depress the moving column [32]
until the column lock engages (Fig. 5).
2. Rotate the steering ring [19], so that the pressure gauge [1] is visible through the
window (remove a trim weight, if necessary).
3. Remove the Schrader valve cap [3] and connect the charging line from the pressure
source.
4. Turn on the pressure supply and slowly increase the pedestal pressure to the
required pressure. Do not exceed the maximum working pressure indicated by the
leading edge of the red sector on the gauge [1].
WARNING!
DO NOT exceed 7.2 bar (105 psi) without a balancing load installed.
5. Disconnect the charging line, but do not refit the Schrader valve cap [3] at this stage.
