Eachitem comprises a short biography of the author, a listof his works and manuscripts, the library call numbers,translations, researches and different editions of eachwork. in regard to non-extant manuscripts, the reader isreferred to the source that contains information on theworks. The items contain information on the works aboutmathematics, astronomy, mechanics, physics, music,mathematical geography, meteorology, encyclopedias andworks on history of science. At the end of the book there aretwo supplements that are arranged alphabetically. The firstcomprises the list and information on scholars whose lifeperiods are unknown. The second supplement contains thelist of anonymous manuscripts located in various librariesall over the world.
