The workshops were organizedduring the Summer months, in Bosnia and Herzegovina,except the first two, 1994 and 1995 workshops whichwere held in İstanbul, Turkey. During each academic yearbetween two workshops, the collaborating architecturalfaculties held studios and/or assigned theses relating to thesubjects of the program, with special reference to Bosniaand Herzegovina – study, restoration, conservation ofcities and buildings. These activities brought together alarge number of professionals and students from variouscountries, thus forming a network of people and institutionscontributing to the preservation of heritage. The workshopsinvolved 823 participants from 31 countries. The teachersand students came from 68 universities.
