He will also doresearch work at UT.Heather Maus ’05 is now involved with the ButlerCounty Sheriff’s Explorer Program – working withstudents who are interested in law enforcement asa career. She is a Butler County Sheriff’s deputy.Chad Smith ’05 was thestudent speaker at the41st commencementexercises of NorthernKentucky University inMay. Chad earned hisundergraduate degree inpolitical science andcriminal justice at theUniversity of Akron. Hewas then the first studentto pursue the JurisDoctor and Master of Science in HealthInformatics joint degree at NKU. During lawschool, Chad spent time as a law clerk forthe Warren County Court of CommonPleas as well as volunteering for theKentucky Cabinet for Health and FamilyServices. Chad currently serves as theDirector of Business Development for alocal healthcare information technologycompany, where he works to grow thebusiness through his industry perspective.He will sit for the Ohio Bar exam in July.Jessica Flannery Spaeth ’06 has joined thestaff of the Riverside Athletic Club inHamilton as the director of marketing andactivities and will serve as tennis pro there.Jessica graduated from Southern IllinoisUniversity in 2010, having played collegiatetennis at SIU. She won an Ohio high schooldoubles championship while playing forBadin. Jessica is married to Andy Spaeth ’06.Adam Gloyeske ’08 finished fifth in theFlying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati on Sunday,May 5. His time was 2 hours, 37 minutes.He and his twin brother, Brad, have graduatedfrom Northern Kentucky Universityand are going to grad school in chiropracticmedicine.Lizzy Sunderhaus ’08 is pursuing her doctoratein molecular and medical genetics atthe Oregon Health and Science Universityin Portland, Ore. Her goal is to develop aresearch career that involves clinical diagnosticsand teaching at the college level.Ellen Cserbak ’09 graduated from XavierUniversity with a bachelor’s degree in politicalscience and a minor in business. She willbe working and living in Cincinnati.Katie North ’09 graduated from MiamiUniversity with a double major in politicalscience and psychology. She will be enteringthe Peace Corps in the fall.David Pohlman ’09 graduated magna cumlaude from the Farmer School of Businessat Miami University. He earned a bachelor’sdegree in accountancy, and is working forPlante Moran, a certified accounting, taxand consulting firm in Cincinnati.Anita Randrianantoanina ’09 graduatedfrom Vanderbilt University with a bachelor’sdegree in American Studies. Brett McKinney ‘09 was selected by thePittsburgh Pirates in the 19th round ofthe Major League Baseball draft. Brett,the son of Chuck ‘78 and Melanie YoungMcKinney ‘81, just concluded a finecareer as a pitcher for the Ohio StateBuckeyes.Katie Maus ’10 was named a captain ofthe women’s lacrosse team at theCollege of Mount St. Joseph for the2014 season.
