Her direct, dynamic, and interactive approach makes it easy for the viewer to see and understand environmental problems that are of common concern while addressing possible remedies. X:ENIUS Monday through Friday at 5:35 pm Presented, alternately, by Dörthe Eickelberg and Pierre Girard or by Caro Matzko and Gunnar Mergner X:enius travels Europe in a minibus laboratory looking for answers to questions about anything and everything that may have ever occurred to the viewer. Presented in a playful but also scientifi c way, the programme sets out to answer such questions as: What are the real powers of the Moon? Where does the wind come from? Is there some way of increasing one’s chances in the lottery? Experts join the discussions and help to satisfy our curiosity. PHILOSOPHY Sunday at 1:30 pm Presented by Raphaël Enthoven Raphaël Enthoven and his guests embark, with an admirable lightness of touch, on a challenging search for meaning. KOLLISION Sunday at 8 pm ARTE has a playful look at the differences – large and small – between the French and the Germans. GIORDANO WEEKLY Friday at 7:30 pm Presented by Isabelle Giordano Isabelle Giordano discusses current events with her guests in hard-hitting interviews that reveal their core convictions and deepest feelings. IF MAPS COULD TALK Wednesday at 10:20 pm Author & presenter: Jean-Christophe Victor If Maps Could Talk provides geopolitical analysis of confl ict situations and international issues like climate change refugees, the fall of Berlin Wall, the institutional crisis in Belgium, and the rebellions in Iran.
