AUGUST 2000 La Sept ARTE is renamed ARTE France. SINCE 2001 Analogue broadcasting 24 hours a day via ASTRA and from 2 pm via cable networks in all German states. OCTOBER 2001 Co-oproduction Agreement with the BBC, British public service broadcaster. SINCE 2003 Campaign “ARTE on 8” (McCann-Erickson) to entice viewers to program ARTE on channel 8 of their television sets. 62-63 OCTOBER 2003 Inauguration of the new ARTE headquarters in Strasbourg, close to the European Institutions. APRIL 2005 ARTE broadcast 24 hours a day in France via digital terrestrial television (DTTV). JANUARY 2005 Dr. Christoph Hauser and Victor Rocaries are appointed ARTE’s Programme Director and Administrative Director. JUNE 2002 Co-operation Agreement with SVT, Swedish public service broadcaster. JANUARY 2004 Winds of change sweep through ARTE: new design (Velvet Agency), new slogan “vivons curieux” (ARTE, Be Curious!). Large-scale advertising campaign in France (Ailleurs Exactement Agency). MARCH 2006 Jérôme Clément is re-elected President of ARTE France. SEPTEMBER 2006 ARTE Belgique, RTBF’s ARTE window in Belgium, begins transmission. JANUARY 2007 ARTE restyles its brand idents in collaboration with the Swiss agency Déjà Vu. JULY 2008 <strong>Arte</strong> broadcasts in HD via the Astra satellite in Germany. OCTOBER 2008 ARTE broadcasts in HD on DTTV in France. JANUARY 2007 Dr. Gottfried Langenstein is appointed President of the ARTE Management Board, Jérôme Clément Vice President; Véronique Cayla, CNC Director, is named President of the General Assembly and Prof. Jobst Plog Vice President. APRIL 2009 Co-operation agreement with ERT, Greek public service broadcaster. SEPTEMBER 2008 The Munich agency LuxLotusLiner develops a new design, based on women’s and men’s faces, accompanied by a new sonic identity designed by NovaProd.
