A psychologist is engaged in theactivities of the Medical Working Commission. For the purpose of receiving inpatientpsychological care, remand or sentenced prisoners are transferred to the psychiatricdepartment of the Hospital for Convicts Penitentiary Establishment. Where
appropriate, sentenced prisoners are also transferred to the Nubarashen PsychiatricClinic of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.e. Yerevan Prison Hospital’s psychiatric wardIn connection with paragraphs 112, 113, and 114:As to the remark that the patients suffering from mental disorders at thepsychiatric ward of the Hospital for Convicts Penitentiary Establishment of the Ministryof Justice of the Republic of Armenia are accommodated with somatic patients, therooms at the psychiatric ward need refurbishment, the personal hygiene rules are notpreserved, the possibilities for activities of patients are rudimentary, there is a lack ofrelevant qualified specialists, it should be mentioned that only patients suffering frommental disorders currently undergo treatment at the psychiatric ward of the Hospitalfor Convicts Penitentiary Establishment of the Ministry of Justice, whereas somaticpatients have been transferred to relevant wards. Necessary standards of living spaceestablished for each patient are maintained. The rooms have been refurbished,sanitary facilities have been renovated and changed, hygiene items are provided topatients. The ward attendant has been assigned to make daily rounds to patients toregularly perform sanitary literacy activities concerning the preservation of rules ofpersonal hygiene. Patients are given an opportunity to play non gambling games andwatch TV; they also have the opportunity to read imaginative literature.Consultations are organised by leading psychiatrists of the country within theframework of close co-operation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic ofArmenia.In connection with paragraphs 115 and 116Adequate measures were and are still undertaken for recruiting people for thepsychiatric ward of the Hospital for Convicts. There is no information on the registerenvisaged by regulations of the Ministry of Health of 3 May 2010. Steps will be taken
