of YOUR trip. This policy is designed to provide cover for unforeseen events, accidents, illnessand diseases. Normal childbirth would not constitute an unforeseen event;4) for any extra charges from the company YOU booked travel or accommodation with, becauseof YOUR failure to notify them immediately it was found necessary to cancel;5) prohibitive regulations by the Government of any country;6) where a theft of a passport has not been reported to the relevant authority,7) any Circumstance that could reasonably be anticipated at the time YOU bookedYOUR trip.8) YOUR disinclination to travel or continue YOUR trip or any loss of enjoyment onYOUR trip.9) YOU must insure for the full cost of YOUR trip. If YOU fail to do so WE will not paymore than the proportionate cost of YOUR trip for any cancellation orcurtailment claim.10) anything mentioned in the General Exclusions.SECTION 2 - CURTAILMENTWE will payUp to the amount shown in the Schedule of Cover & Limits for:1) The value of that portion of YOUR travel and/or accommodation arrangements paid for beforeYOUR trip commenced and which are unused as well as ski hire, ski school and lift passes (if theappropriate winter sports premium has been paid) if YOU have to curtail YOUR trip and return toYOUR home earlier than planned due to:a) the death, severe injury or serious illness of:i) YOU or any person YOU are travelling with;ii) YOUR close relative resident in UKiii) YOUR close business associate resident in UKb) YOUR home being made uninhabitable or place of business being made unusable dueto fire, lightning, explosion, earthquake, subsidence, storm, flood, falling trees, riot orcivil commotion, malicious damage, burst pipes, impact by aircraft, the police requestingYOUR presence following burglary or attempted burglary at YOUR home or place ofbusiness;The amount paid by US in settlement of the claim will be based on an appropriate pro-rataproportion of the total travel and accommodation costs.2) Reasonable additional travelling expenses incurred by YOU to return to YOUR home (includingEconomy Class travel) earlier than planned for a reason stated in cover (1) of this section.3) YOUR carer (providing he or she is insured on this policy) having to curtail their trip with YOUdue to one of the reasons covered above. If YOU wish to continue YOUR trip, WE will pay upto £1,000 in total towards additional travel and accommodation costs to replace YOUR originalcarer.4) YOU, an immediate relative of YOURS or any person intended to travel with, who is a memberof the Armed Forces, emergency services or a government employee and being ordered to24
