Falardeau soilsThe Falardeau soils are poorly drained lacustrine silt loam and silty clay loam soils. Theyoccur on very gently undulating land in the Blanche River valley . They are difficult to drainbecause of their high contents of varved silts. The Falardeau soils are usually classified as OrthicHumic Gleysols .Fleck soilsFleck soils are very poorly drained organic soils . They are mapped in only one small area, along the western boundary of the Ville-Marie sheet, in a complex with Gaffney soils . They occuron level to very gently sloping terrain . They are classified as Typic Fibrisols .Frere Lake soilsFrere Lake soils are very poorly drained organic soils, located to the north and west of thetown of New Liskeard . They overlie mineral subsoil, usually at a depth of 90-130 cm . They areclassified as Terric Fibrisols .Gaffney soilsThe Gaffney soils are poorly drained soils that have developed on acidic fine sandy materialsof outwash or deltaic origin . They occur in depressional locations and are usually classified asOrthic Humic Gleysols.Haileybury soilsHaileybury soils are well-drained soils developed on varved lacustrine clays. The claycontent of these soils is often higher than 60 per cent . Because they occur on steeply rolling terrain, they are highly susceptible to erosion . They are classed as Orthic Gray Luvisols .Hanbury soils .The Hanbury soils are imperfectly drained soils developed on gently rolling, dissected, varved clays . Textures range from silty clay loam to heavy clay . In some places, where stones andboulders occur, a Hanbury clay-stony phase has been mapped . Hanbury soils are susceptible toerosion damage and may suffer from poor surface physical condition . Care must be taken tomaintain surface cover and organic matter contents. They are classified as Gleyed Gray Luvisols.Heaslip soilsThe Heaslip soils are very poorly drained organic soils that have developed mainly in black,well-decomposed organic material . They are classed as Typic Humisols .Henwood soilsThe Henwood soils are well-drained soils developed on kame moraines, and occur chieflyin the Townships of Henwood and Beauchamp . The soil material is dominantly sand although afew stones and boulders are present . Henwood soils are usually classified as Orthic Humo-FerricPodzols .Hilliard soilsHilliard soils are very poorly drained organic soils that have developed in moderatelydecomposed organic materials, that range in thickness from 40-160 cm over mineral subsoil. Theyare most commonly 90-130 cm thick . Hilliard soils are classified as Terric Mesisols .Ingram soilsIngram soils are very poorly drained organic soils that have developed in relativelyundecomposed organic material, derived from sphagnum and other bog4oving plants . They haveorganic material greater than 160 cm in thickness, and are classified as Typic Fibrisols .
