DEPARTMENT POLICIESProgram schedules, fees and descriptions are ascomplete as possible. However, it is sometimesnecessary to change instructors, dates, times, place orprogram content. Changes will not be made unlessabsolutely necessary and your understanding will beappreciated. Additional materials and/or equipment may berequired for some programs. Please check theprogram’s description for information on materialneeds. Please understand that we cannot run programswith insufficient enrollment. Fees listed are tocover the costs of our instructors and overhead.Classes can be canceled because of lack ofenrollment. Please register early to avoiddisappointment for yourself (and the instructor)! Only those enrolled in the programs may attend.Sorry, but “visitors/family” will not be permitted inthe classrooms unless invited by the instructor. Children must be the proper age before or withinthe duration of the program. Sorry, but we do not pro-rate our class fees. Sorry phone reservations for programs or facilityrentals are not accepted. Payments must be made in full at time ofregistration. There will be a $20 charge for all returnedchecks by bank.Cancellations/PostponementsIn the event of inclement weather and you arequestioning whether a class is being held or not, pleasetune in to WELI 960AM, KC 101 FM, WTNH Channel 8and WFSB Channel 3. We will also place cancellationson our weather information hotline: 203-245-5600 – ext7411.REGISTRATION PROCEDURESRolling Admission – Registrations will be taken on aspace availability basis and on a first-come, first servedbasis.We accept cash, check and now credit cards(Mastercard, Visa and Discover for your convenience.Remember to complete the registration form in itsentirety and use additional paper if necessary. When youreceive your receipts, look them over carefully and notifythe office immediately if an error has been made. Thankyou for your cooperation.OUT-OF-TOWN PARTICIPATION INPROGRAMS AND TRIPSRegistrations will be accepted before start of programif space is available. There is an additional charge of $5for programs costing $20 or less; and a $10 additionalcharge for programs costing more than $20. Thesecharges do not apply to Bauer Park or RocklandPreserve programs.REGISTER ON-LINEVisit our website at www.madisonct.org and click onBeach and Recreation Department link. New visitors toour site will be asked to complete certain information andsubmitted to our secure servers once approved an emailwill be sent with a username and password to enter thesite. This may take a day or two (especially on aweekend) so please do this well in advance of anyprograms starting date in order for you to be able toregister in time. For your convenience, registrations arenow accepted 24 hours a day on-line only.Mastercard, Visa, Discover are now being acceptedboth in person and on-line.PRICINGIn response to the current economic climate we nowoffer quantity discounts for multiple immediate familymembers registering in the same program section. Allregistrations from the same household for any listedprogram with the exception of trips and special eventswill be discounted 50% after the first two full priceregistrations.
