Preparing a Database for Deployment| 11Sybase DatabaseAfter installing Sybase on your computer, complete the following preparatorysteps.• Create a uddi database.• Create a user account. For example, myuddiuser and myuddisecret.• Assign Roles or Privileges for the Created Account, page 11.• Download a Supported JDBC Driver, page 11For detailed information about working with Sybase, refer to Sybase Adaptive<strong>Server</strong> Enterprise (Archive) .Assign Roles or Privileges for the Created AccountAfter the database is created, the newly created user account that will beconfigured in the JNDI resource must have at least the following privileges in thedatabase.• SELECT• INSERT• UPDATE• DELETEWhile configuring the uddi.war file, if you choose to automatically create thedatabase tables or you need to update the database schema during thedeployment, append the following privileges to the newly created user account:• CREATE TABLE• CREATE INDEX• ALTER TABLE• DROP TABLEDownload a Supported JDBC DriverYou may need to download a JDBC driver for your database.
