Hewas honored for his life’swork as a pastor and volunteer.Stumme began hiscareer volunteering at HolyFamily Lutheran Churchin the Cabrini-Green housingproject in Chicago,where he marched withDr. Martin Luther King Jr.He and his family lived inBuenos Aires, Argentina, for10 years, where he taughtat an ecumenical seminary.Pastor Stumme is retiredand lives in Chicago.1986Marta Poling-Goldenne(M.Div.) celebrated 25years of ordination withher congregation, NewSong Lutheran Church,Henderson, Nev., on July29, 2012.
