PrefaceSince its establishment in 1993, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) hasstrived to develop a national statistical system that covers the needs of planners, decisionmakers all other segments of users. PCBS has devoted great efforts to collect, harmonize anddisseminate relevant and comparable statistics on foerign trade based on internationalstandardsPCBS is pleased to release the fourteenth annual report on the registered Foreign TradeStatistics for the Palestinian Territory for the year 2009. This report provides statistics onimports, exports and net trade balance by month, year and trading partners. The report alsoprovides statistics by point of entry and exit, nature of the structural composition of goods andservices and their relative importance in the economy.PCBS hopes that the published statistics in this report will provide researchers, scholars, anddecision makers in the political and economic community with necessary indicators on theflow of goods and services in and out of Palestine, in addition to the consolidation of tradeand economic relations with all countries and global economic unions.March, 2011Ola AwadPresident of PCBS
