Israel represents 73.6% <strong>of</strong> the wholevalue <strong>of</strong> imported commodities, with a decrease by 5.1% compared to 2008. On the otherhand, 87.5% <strong>of</strong> the whole value <strong>of</strong> commodities was exported to Israel, with a decrease by9.2% compared to 2008.The total value <strong>of</strong> imports from the European Countries in 2009 was US$ 348.5 million,showing an increase by 55.8% compared to 2008; while direct exports to European Countriesdecreased by 41.6% in 2009 to reach US$ 4.7 million compared to 2008.The direct imports <strong>of</strong> commodities from Arab countries in 2009 increased by 22.5% to reachUS$ 92.0 million compared to 2008. Direct exports to Arab Countries in 2009 increased by9.8% to reach US$ 50.3 million compared to 2008. Direct exports to Jordan reached US$ 28.9million with a decrease by 15.4% compared to 2008.Imports from the USA increased by 21.7% in 2009 to reach US$ 40.3 million compared to2008, while direct exports <strong>of</strong> commodities to the USA increased by 72.3% in 2009 to reachUS$ 6.1 million compared to 2008.
