The Conclusion of the Believer's Words, and the ultimateDestiny of both PartiesAllah informs that the believer said:...54وَیَا قَوْمِ‏ مَا لِي أَدْعُوآُمْ‏ إِلَى الن َّجَاةِ‏"And O my people! How is it that I call you to salvation,That believer said: `Why do I call you tosalvation, which is the worship of Allah alone withno partner or associate, and belief in HisMessenger, whom He has sent,'...وَتَدْعُونَنِي إِلَى الن َّارِ‏ ﴿٤١ ﴾تَدْعُونَنِي لِأَآْفُرَ‏ بِالل َّهِ‏ وَأُشْرِكَ‏ بِهِ‏ مَا لَيْسَ‏ لِي بِهِ‏ عِلْمٌ‏while you call me to the Fire! You invite me to disbelievein Allah, and to join partners in worship with Him ofwhich I have no knowledge;means, on the basis of ignorance, with no proofor evidence.وَأَنَا أَدْعُوآُمْ‏ إِلَى الْعَزِیزِ‏ الْغَف َّارِ‏ ﴿٤٢ ﴾and I invite you to the Almighty, the Oft-Forgiving!means, with all His might and pride, He stillforgives the sin of the one who repents to Him.La Jarama, you call me to one,They say it means, "Truly.''.........لَا جَرَمَ‏ أَن َّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ‏As-Suddi and Ibn Jarir said that the meaning of Hissaying:"Truly.'' (La jarama) means لَا جَرَمَ‏Ad-Dahhak said:lie.'' (La Jarama) means, "No لَا جَرَمَ‏
Ali bin Abi Talhah and Ibn Abbas said:(La Jarama) means, "Indeed, the one that لَا جَرَمَ‏you call me to of idols and false godsلَيْسَ‏ لَهُ‏ دَعْوَةٌ‏ فِي الد ُّنْيَا وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ‏ ...that does not have a claim in this world or in theHereafter.''Mujahid said, "The idols that do not have anything.''Qatadah said,"This means that idols possess no power either tobenefit or to harm.''As-Suddi said,"They do not respond to those who call uponthem, either in this world or in the Hereafter.''This is like the Ayah:وَمَنْ‏ أَضَل ُّ مِم َّن یَدْعُو مِن دُونِ‏ الل َّهِ‏ مَن لا َّ یَسْتَجِيبُ‏ لَهُ‏ إِلَى یَوْمِ‏الْقِيَمَةِ‏ وَهُمْ‏ عَن دُعَآئِهِمْ‏ غَفِلُونَ‏وَإِذَا حُشِرَ‏ الن َّاسُ‏ آَانُواْ‏ لَهُمْ‏ أَعْدَآءً‏ وَآَانُواْ‏ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ‏ آَفِرِینَ‏And who is more astray than one who calls onbesides Allah, such as will not answer him till theDay of Resurrection, and who are unaware oftheir calls to them And when the people aregathered, they will become their enemies anddeny their worship. (46:5-6)إِن تَدْعُوهُمْ‏ لاَ‏ یَسْمَعُواْ‏ دُعَآءَآُمْ‏ وَلَوْ‏ سَمِعُواْ‏ مَا اسْتَجَابُواْ‏ لَكُمْ‏If you invoke them, they hear not your call; and ifthey were to hear, they could not grant it to you.(35:14)And our return will be to Allah,55......وَأَن َّ مَرَد َّنَا إِلَى الل َّهِ‏means, in the Hereafter, where He will reward orpunish each person according to his deeds....
