And Allah says here:لَخَلْقُ‏ الس َّمَاوَاتِ‏ وَالْأَرْضِ‏ أَآْبَرُ‏ مِنْ‏ خَلْقِ‏ الن َّاسِ‏ وَلَكِن َّ أَآْثَرَ‏ الن َّاسِ‏ لَایَعْلَمُونَ‏72﴾ ٥٧﴿The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeedgreater than the creation of mankind; yet, most ofmankind know not.hence they do not think about or ponder thisproof.Similarly, many of the Arabs recognized that Allahhad created the heavens and the earth, but theydenied and rejected the idea of the resurrection;they acknowledged something which was greaterthan that which they denied.Then Allah says:وَمَا یَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ‏ وَال َّذِینَ‏ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الص َّالِحَاتِ‏ وَلَاالْمُسِيءُ‏ قَلِيلًا م َّا تَتَذَآ َّرُونَ‏﴾ ٥٨﴿And not equal are the blind and those who see; nor arethose who believe, and do righteous good deeds, andthose who do evil. Little do you remember!The blind man who cannot see anything is not thesame as the sighted man who can see everythingas far as his eyesight reaches -- there is a hugedifference between them. By the same token, therighteous believers and the immoral disbelieversare not equal.remember!), (Little do you قَلِيلًا م َّا تَتَذَآ َّرُونَ‏means, most of the people rememberlittle.إِن َّ الس َّاعَةَ‏ لَآتِيَةٌ‏ ...Verily, the Hour (Day of Judgement) is surely coming,means, it will indeed come to pass.
ل َّا رَیْبَ‏ فِيهَا وَلَكِن َّ أَآْثَرَ‏ الن َّاسِ‏ لَا یُؤْمِنُونَ‏ ﴿٥٩ ﴾there is no doubt about it, yet most men believe not.means, they do not believe in it, and in fact theydoubt its existence altogether....وَقَالَ‏ رَب ُّكُمْ‏ ادْعُونِى أَسْتَجِبْ‏ لَكُمْ‏40:60 And your Lord said: "Call upon Me, I willanswer you.إِن َّ ال َّذِینَ‏ یَسْتَكْبِرُونَ‏ عَنْ‏ عِبَادَتِى سَيَدْخُلُونَ‏ جَهَن َّمَ‏دَخِرِینَ‏Verily, those who scorn My worship they will surelyenter Hell in humiliation!''The Command to call upon Allah By His grace and kindness,And your Lord said:73وَقَالَ‏ رَب ُّكُمُ‏ ...Allah encourages His servants to call upon Him, and Heguarantees to respond.Sufyan Ath-Thawri used to say:"O You Who love most those who ask of You, andO You Who hate most those who do not ask ofYou, and there is no one like that apart from You,O Lord.''This was recorded by Ibn Abi Hatim.Similarly; the poet said:"Allah hates not to be asked, and the son of Adamhates to be asked.''
