It has thepower to persuade, to inform, and to educate. TheMission of the Bachelor of Science in GraphicDesign is to empower students to become effectivevisual communicators, through a liberal artseducation. Through research, analysis, organization,and presentation skills, students will inform audiencesusing various forms of visual media.Educational Objectives1. The profession of Graphic Design is one that isin constant flux. The aim of the Program is tomaintain a discipline, which is up-to-date inboth technological and artistic innovationswithin the profession.2. To encourage the creation of aesthetic, andeffective, design solutions. Students maychoose to work not only in print based media,but also on screen-based designs, which incorporatemotion and sound. Studentsdevelop custom Arabic typefaces for various applicationsin class.During the Senior Year, emphasis is placed on thedesign approaches in the final project, a challenging,self-defined experience that will help studentsdefine their professional interests.
