<strong>130</strong>.05-10 All <strong>vehicles</strong> must operate with<strong>in</strong> the leasehold <strong>area</strong>, the non-<strong>movement</strong> VSRsor the <strong>in</strong>terl<strong>in</strong>e baggage VSRs. All other operations outside <strong>of</strong> the VSRs must beapproved <strong>in</strong> advance by the AOM or designee.<strong>130</strong>.05-11 New companies that receive Driver Authorization for the Secured Area mustfirst drive their assigned route(s) with an AOM or designee.<strong>130</strong>.05-12 Electric carts are prohibited from driv<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the Secured Area, except <strong>in</strong> theservice tunnels, by tenants <strong>in</strong> their exclusive leasehold <strong>area</strong>s, or on the <strong>in</strong>ner concourseVSRs.<strong>130</strong>.05-13 Motorcycles shall not be operated <strong>in</strong> the Secured Area, except DPDmotorcycles that are authorized to drive from G5 to fuel or obta<strong>in</strong> repairs at the CityMa<strong>in</strong>tenance Facility.<strong>130</strong>.05-14 Bicycles shall not be operated <strong>in</strong> the Secured Area. Bicycles are allowed tooperate <strong>in</strong> leased aircraft hangar <strong>area</strong>s located with<strong>in</strong> the Secured Area as long as theTenant accepts full liability.<strong>130</strong>.05-15 All <strong>vehicles</strong> <strong>in</strong> the Secured Area must be properly <strong>in</strong>spected, ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong>ed andoperated <strong>in</strong> a manner that prevents obstruction or closure <strong>of</strong> any portion <strong>of</strong> the airfield.<strong>130</strong>.06 Vehicle Traffic <strong>in</strong> Service Tunnels and Baggage Areas<strong>130</strong>.06-1 All <strong>vehicles</strong> operat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the service tunnels, baggage makeup <strong>area</strong>s, or otherenclosed <strong>area</strong>s at the Airport must be electric (battery) powered or operated onCompressed Natural Gas (CNG). Receipt <strong>of</strong> an Airport Vehicle Permit for a CNGvehicle may be conditioned upon pass<strong>in</strong>g an annual emissions test conducted by theCity or its authorized agents. The City shall publish permitted levels <strong>of</strong> emission andmonitor compliance for <strong>vehicles</strong> operat<strong>in</strong>g with<strong>in</strong> the enclosed <strong>area</strong>. Vehicles equippedwith duel fuel systems (e.g. gasol<strong>in</strong>e/electric hybrids, gasol<strong>in</strong>e/CNG) are not permittedaccess to the service tunnels.<strong>130</strong>.06-2 Emergency response <strong>vehicles</strong> are authorized to drive <strong>in</strong> the service tunnelswithout operat<strong>in</strong>g on electric (battery) power or CNG <strong>in</strong> the course <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>ficial bus<strong>in</strong>ess.Unless necessary for emergency response capabilities, eng<strong>in</strong>es <strong>of</strong> emergency response<strong>vehicles</strong> shall be shut down when parked.<strong>130</strong>.06-4 Emergency <strong>vehicles</strong> await<strong>in</strong>g emergency response are authorized to park <strong>in</strong>the tunnel <strong>area</strong>s while the eng<strong>in</strong>e is <strong>of</strong>f and not <strong>in</strong> idle mode.<strong>130</strong>.06-5 The maximum height for <strong>vehicles</strong> operat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the service tunnels at the Airportis eight (8) feet unless otherwise posted.<strong>130</strong>.06-6 Vehicles equipped with snowplows are prohibited <strong>in</strong> the service tunnel system.<strong>130</strong>.06-7 Bicycles are not allowed <strong>in</strong> the service tunnel system except when operated bylaw enforcement <strong>of</strong>ficers <strong>in</strong> the performance <strong>of</strong> their patrol responsibilities.5Revised Effective January 1, 2013Denver Municipal Airport System Rules and RegulationsSource: Official Web site <strong>of</strong> Denver International Airport (bus<strong>in</strong>ess.flydenver.com)
