NOC have been obtained from Aviation ResearchCentre, Charbatia, which is at a distance of about 2 km, for setting up this power projectand stack height has been restricted to 48 m AGL. No ecologically sensitive area isreported within 10 km radius of the plant boundary; however, Reserve forests are at adistance of 4 km. Public hearing was held on 9.12.2007. Total cost of the project is Rs437.97 crores, which includes Rs 44.00 crores for environmental protection measures.67
