) Networked Readiness Index (NRI)According to the ranking released in the Global IT Report 7 by the World Economic Forumannually, the NRI of Viet Nam in the past years represented variations. Viet Nam’s NRI ranking wasimproved in the period 2001-2010 with an increase of 20 places from 75 to 55. However, from 2012,the changes in WEF’s methodology in evaluating have made NRI rankings of Viet Nam and manycountries fall compared to those of the year 2010. On the other hand, Viet Nam stands in the 4 thposition in the Southeast Asia. Rankings in IT industryIT industry in Viet Nam has been recognized with outstanding achievements. According to theranking of A.T. Kearney 8 , in 2005, Viet Nam was ranked at the average level amongs the leadingcountries in offshore services with the position of 26/50. However, in 2011, Viet Nam was ranked the8 th out of the top 50 countries in offshore services, an increase of 2 places compared to the year of2009, 11 places campared to the year of 2007 and 18 places campared to the year of 2005, and VietNam took over Philipines and came close to Thailand. Viet Nam leads in the financial subindex in thisassesssment.7 The report released annually by the World Economic Forum evaluates the Networked Readiness Index based on 4subindexes such as government readiness, individual readiness, business readiness, ICT impact (lately added in 2013).8 The report released bianuallyby A.T. Kearney focuses ranking coutries based on 3 subindexes such as financialattractiveness, people skills and availability, business environment.14
