LAND USE AND ZONINGGOALMaintain the single-family residential character of the Arlington Park neighborhood while encouragingcompatible development of all types of uses.OBJECTIVES1.) Review future land use designations within the Arlington Park neighborhood; 2.) Encourage compatibilitywith non single-family uses; 3.) Promote design preferences to influence aesthetics of neighborhood.RECOMMENDED ACTION RESPONSIBLEAGENT1. Discourage further intrusionof commercial/office usesinto the Arlington Parkneighborhood.2. Support area between US41 and East Avenue (fromBahia Vista Street to HydePark Street) as atransitional area for landuses, i.e. low-intensityoffice/commercial/multifamilyto single-familyresidential. Discourageincreasing the density ofexisting office, commercial,and multi-family uses in thisarea.3. Support the preservation ofexisting future land usedesignations along theTuttle Avenue and WebberStreet corridors.4. Do not increase residentialunit density at 1300 S.Tuttle Avenue (old Doctor’sHospital parcel-SW cornerof Bahia Vista Street andTuttle Avenue).5.
