some new need-based activities have been introduced under <strong>ATMA</strong>Cafeteria, 2010.1.3. OBJECTIVES:1.3.1. The <strong>Revised</strong> Scheme shall focus on the following key extension reformsas objectives of the Scheme:• Providing innovative, restructured and autonomous institutions atthe state/district/ block level.• Encouraging multi-agency extension strategies involving Public/Private Extension Service Providers.• Ensuring an integrated, broad-based extension delivery mechanismconsistent with farming system approach.• Adopting group approach to extension in line with the identifiedneeds and requirements of the farmers in the form of CIGs & FIGs;• Facilitating convergence of programmes in planning, execution andimplementation.• Addressing gender concerns by mobilizing farm women into groupsand providing training to them.• Moving towards sustainability of extension services throughbeneficiary contribution.1.3.2. The above objectives shall be met through strengthened institutionalarrangements, dedicated manpower and revamped strategy asdescribed in para 1.4. below.1.4. STRATEGYThe <strong>Revised</strong> Scheme will be implemented through the institutionalmechanism as detailed below:1.4.1. State Level:(i) The State Level Sanctioning Committee (SLSC) set up underRashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) is the apex body to approve State<strong>Guidelines</strong> for Modified ‘Support to State Extension Programmes for Extension Reforms’ Scheme, 201010
