This biogas unit wasdeveloped through ‘on the job training’ provided by biogas developer in Bogor, called Pak Dicky. There were three local trainees involved in the training and developing the unit. The total costwas Rp. 15 million. The unit is 4 m3 of volume and need 3-6 cows that produces 30 kgs of cowdunga day. The site owned 8 cows, each cow produced 5-10 kgs cow-dung a day. The unit still need millingequipment to process the briquettes.Constraints and challenges : comments from participantsAs in previous trainings, the main constraint faced by participants was limited time available tolearn comprehensive coverage of renewable energy technologies. The subject on Introduction toRenewable Energy subject was already well delivered, but was suggested to give more specificexamples on renewable energy. Solar energy was delivered with good method of teaching, andthe participants found it easy to understand, however the time is too limited to cover the wholesubject. Regarding wind energy, participants commented the material is too theoretical, and thelimited time to cover the material. Regarding microhydro, the participants found that thesubject was very useful, and they absolutely wanted to have such continuation training onmicrohydro. Regarding biomass energy, the participants found the subject is useful and thetrainer provided an excellent teaching on biogas. Similar comments in previous trainings, theparticipants wanted the trainer should have covered other biomass technology, not only biogas.4.4 Training Course in MakassarTraining course in Makassar was attended by 31 trainees, coming from six Kecamatan: Lebong,Kaur, Bengkulu Selatan, and Bengkulu Utara.
