Wind EnergyWind energy technologies focused on two type of use: wind turbine to generate electricity andpumpings. For power generation, it is suggested to use small-scale turbine (SKEA), with manysuccessful application in Indonesia. For wind pumps, it is suggested to develop pumping foririgation purposes.Microhydro Power PlantThis subject is delivered from the basic principles until the application. We found out that manyparticipants do not have the basic knowledge, so the training is focused on: managementaspect; supply planning, tariff setting;operation and maintenance. The participants areinterested in technical aspects than non technical aspects of microhydro.Biomass EnergyThe training focused only on biogas. It is suggested to provide various technology other thanbiogas. A number of biomass energy use available, however, only few of them are well-proven,applicable and replicable. Therefore, the trainers focused only on biogas, charcoal briquette. Itis expected to discuss pure plant oil or biodiesel, that can be used as diesel oil (mix). Theproduction process is relatively simple, and the oil can be used for generator, rice milling orpetromax generally used by fishermen.Introduction to RESP DatabaseThis subject is introduced for one session in Day 1. This topic should be introduced in relationto types of particular technology being discussed so that participants could have ideas on thedevelopment of that technology and its service providers in Indonesia. This subject can be usedas a warming-up before the class started.7.3. Recommendation from the trainersAs renewable energy is quite a new knowledge or skill for many participants, they proposed fewthings in order to facilitate the implementation of renewable energy technologies in GreenPNPM framework.- Center of excellence for renewable energy, where they can meet a credible resourceperson on RE technologies, as well as find solution to any problems that might beoccurred in implementing RE technologies for Green PNPM to the communities.- We have some requests or needs to get technical training or on the job training (OJT),this should be targeted only for facilitators.28
