23DevelopmentKasaï Oriental : Evolution satisfac<strong>to</strong>ry Rehabilitation Project Agricultural Sec<strong>to</strong>rand Rural implemented by <strong>Caritas</strong> CongoAnother 21% of the funds expectedfrom two donorsIn fact, the proposed U.S. $ 4.3 millionis funded for approximately80.98% by the African DevelopmentBank (AfDB) and 19.05% by theCongolese Government. <strong>Caritas</strong>Congo has received 80.10% and19.90% of the funds, respectivelyADB and the Congolese government.essage<strong>Caritas</strong> Congo runs from December2008 the Rehabilitation Project AgriculturalSec<strong>to</strong>r and Rural Development(PRESAR), Rural InfrastructureRehabilitation Component Terri<strong>to</strong>riesTshilenge, Miabi, Ngandajika,Kamiji Luputa Kabeya and KasaiOriental-Kamwanga. At four monthsof its completion, the results are satisfac<strong>to</strong>ryfor this project, in view of t<strong>here</strong>sults achieved in the field.Thus, five markets were built on 5provided Kasansa (Tshilenge Terri<strong>to</strong>ry)<strong>to</strong> Tshileo (Ngandajika) <strong>to</strong> Tshijiba(Miabi) Malenga (Kamiji) <strong>to</strong>Kabeya-Kamwanga (Kabeya-Kamwanga Terri<strong>to</strong>ry). They have twohouses 24 stalls each, an administrativeoffice, a warehouse of 100 <strong>to</strong>nnes,a system of water and a 10,000liter tank and two <strong>to</strong>ilet blocks . Eachmarket has t<strong>here</strong>fore safe sources ofself-financing is the sale of water,s<strong>to</strong>rage, display, <strong>to</strong>ilets.In addition, 12 paddock with chuteswere built on the 12 expected <strong>to</strong> facilitatethe administration of veterinarycare for animals and collectingdung <strong>to</strong> produce compost that couldbe used <strong>to</strong> fertilize the fields.In addition, 120 water sources werecaptured on the 120 planned. Finally,158 km of rural roads have been rehabilitatedby the <strong>Caritas</strong> of the 208provided by the project. The remaining50 km will be easily achievedthanks <strong>to</strong> 21% of funds still expectedtwo donors, namely the ADF / ADBand the Government of the DemocraticRepublic of Congo.In this path, 50 local opera<strong>to</strong>rs, 150team leaders and 75 foremen wereIt remains, respectively, for each oftwo donors, disbursement of 21.20%and 78.80%.
