RateThe Clerk reports that the rate made on the twenty ninth September 1922 will be practically exhausted by the nextMeeting. It is Resolved that notice be given on the Agenda for the next Meeting of the Board <strong>to</strong> make a new Rateand that the Clerk prepare the necessary documents for the purpose.Applications For P.O. Telephone LinesSir Francis Champneys states that as Local Member of the County Council, applications made by the Post Office <strong>to</strong>the County Council for the erection of telegraph and telephone lines within the District he represents are sent <strong>to</strong>him by the County Surveyor for his views, and he has suggested <strong>to</strong> the County Surveyor that he should also consultthe Clerk of the Conserva<strong>to</strong>rs.It is Resolved that the Clerk be instructed <strong>to</strong> request the County Surveyor <strong>to</strong> submit <strong>to</strong> him any applicationsaffecting the <strong>Forest</strong> and <strong>to</strong> ask for an assurance that he will do so.Mr. Freshfield, on behalf of the <strong>Forest</strong> Row Committee reports,Mr. Barolet, EncroachmentThat Mr. Barolet, the purchaser of the Brickyard Farm near Gills Lap, having erected a fence which inclosed certainstripes of <strong>Forest</strong> Land, he viewed the fence and that Mr. Barolet has since rectified his fence.Clearing Site Of <strong>Forest</strong> Row CampThe sum of £ 4: 16: 3 has been incurred for labour and insurance for removing thistles etc around and on the siteof the <strong>Forest</strong> Row Camp between 7 th July and 4 th August inst.Refuse, Deposit NoticesIt is desirable that notice boards be erected prohibiting the deposit of refuse on the <strong>Forest</strong> and that hand bills <strong>to</strong> thesame effect be circulated.Telephone Line To Water FarmThe license for extending the telephone line <strong>to</strong> Water Farm has not yet been completed, the Clerk is waiting <strong>to</strong>receive an amended form of license.It is resolved that the Report be approved and entered on the <strong>Minute</strong>s.Clearing Site Of <strong>Forest</strong> Row Camp – Protection & Improvement FundThat the bill for £ 4: 16: 3 be paid out of the Protection & Improvement Fund.Notices Prohibiting Deposit Of Refuse - Protection & Improvement FundThat it be referred <strong>to</strong> the Chairman of the Board and the Chairman of the two District Committees <strong>to</strong> settle theform of notice prohibiting the deposit of refuse on <strong>Forest</strong> land, the pattern and number of notice boards and thepositions *** which they shall be erected and <strong>to</strong> have them erected, and <strong>to</strong> decide as <strong>to</strong> the issue of leaflet notices,the expenses incurred by them <strong>to</strong> be paid out of the Protection & Improvement Fund.Telephone Line Marden HillThe Special Committed appointed <strong>to</strong> deal with the application of the Post Office for the erected of an overheadtelephone line down Marden Hill report that it was suggested <strong>to</strong> the Post Office that they should avoid the <strong>Forest</strong>land by connecting up with the existing line at Lye Green but that the Post Office having given reasons why thiswould be <strong>to</strong>o costly the Committee ultimately assented <strong>to</strong> the route originally proposed as it does not seriouslyaffect the amenities of the <strong>Forest</strong>.It is resolved that the Committee be thanked for their efforts in the matter.Mr. Follett states that the Maresfield Committee have nothing <strong>to</strong> report.ChequesIt is resolved that cheques be drawn as follows:
