Maryon – Wilson is unanimouslyelected Chairman of the Board for the current year.Mr. Maryon – Wilson having taken the Chair, thanks the Board for the compliment they have paid him in electinghim as their Chairman for the twenty fifth year in succession and mentions that during that period he has onlymissed three meetings of the Board.He thanks all the members of the Board for the very loyal support they have always given him and the Clerk for thevaluable assistance he has always rendered.<strong>Minute</strong>sThe <strong>Minute</strong>s of the last meeting are then read and confirmed.The Clerk reports that Mr. Eckstein has written <strong>to</strong> him accepting the office of a Conserva<strong>to</strong>r.Election of CommitteesThe following Committees are then appointed:-The <strong>Forest</strong> Row Committee – Mr. Freshfield, Sir Stanley C.J. Colville, Mr. Edward Martin and Colonel Needham.The Maresfield District Committee – Mr. Follett, Sir Francis H. Champneys, Mr. Kenward and Mr. Osborne.The Fire Committee – The Chairman of the Board, the Chairmen of each of the District Committees, Sir StanleyC.J. Colville and Mr. Robert Kenward.Rate confirmed, FinancesThe Clerk reports that the Rate made at the last meeting has been approved by the Ministry of Agriculture andFisheries but that owing <strong>to</strong> the enormous difficulty in tracing some hundred purchasers of the different parts of theMaresfield Estate, there is unavoidable delay in collecting the Rate, which will now be coming in. He produces theBank <strong>Book</strong>s which show that the balances are as follows:-General Account overdrawn by £ 26:11: 92 nd Ranger Account 26:18: 8Protection and Improvement Fund 170: 3: 3
