6InstallationASSUMPTIONS: Minarik drives supply motor voltage fromA1 (or A+) and A2 (or A–) terminals. It is assumedthroughout this manual that, when A1 (or A+) is positive withrespect to A2 (or A–), the motor will rotate clockwise (CW)while looking at the output shaft protruding from the front ofthe motor. If this is opposite of the desired rotation, simplyreverse the wiring of A1 (or A+) and A2 (or A–) with eachother.Mounting drivesDrive components are sensitive to electrostatic fields. Avoidcontact with the circuit board directly. Hold the drive by thechassis only.Protect the drive from dirt, moisture, and accidental contact.Provide sufficient room for access to the terminal block andcalibration trimpots.Mount the drive away from other heat sources. Operatethe drive within the specified ambient operating temperaturerange.Prevent loose connections by avoiding excessive vibrationof the drive.
