16OperationBefore applying power1. Check connections before applying AC line voltage to thedrive.2. Check that no conductive material is present on the printedcircuit board.Startup1. Set the speed adjust potentiometer for zero speed. This maybe the center position of the potentiometer if the drive iswired for bidirectional operation or fully counterclockwiseif the drive is wired for unidirectional operation.2. Apply AC line voltage.3. Slowly advance the speed adjust potentiometer clockwise(CW). The motor slowly accelerates as the potentiometer isturned CW. Continue until the desired speed is reached. Ifthe potentiometer is wired for bidirectional control, advancethe potentiometer in either direction off center and themotor will accelerate as the potentiometer is turned.4. Remove AC line voltage from the drive to coast the motorto a stop.Line starting and line stoppingLine starting and line stopping (applying and removing ACline voltage) is not recommended with regenerative drives,
