12 InstallationRG51UA ConnectionsAC line, motor and field connectionsThe motor and AC line connections to the RG51UA are madeto the 7 screw terminal block. Use 14 AWG or 16 AWGstandard wire for connecting the line and the armature. Stripthe wire insulation 0.25 inches (6 mm).The field output is for shunt wound motors only.Do not make any connections to F1 and F2 when using apermanent magnet motor.The field output connection for the RG51UA is made to the7 screw terminal block. Use 16 or 18 AWG wire to connectthe field output to a shunt wound motor. See Figure 8 forRG51UA connections.Figure 8. RG51UA AC Line, Motor and Field Connections
