THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Herman Daems is the Chairman of
the Board of Directors of Gimv and
of Barco, and associate professor
in Strategic Management at the
K.U. Leuven. Previously he was
also a visiting professor at Harvard
Business School and Chairman
of the European Private Equity
& Venture Capital Association
(EVCA). He is a director of CoWare,
Domo Chemicals, Vanbreda Risk
& Benefi ts and Efi co, chairman of
IPEV, an international consultation
body that defi nes valuation
standards for Private Equity and
Venture Capital, and a member
of the Executive Committee of
the Federation of Enterprises in
Belgium (VBO-FEB).
Dirk Boogmans was appointed
Managing Director and Chairman
of the Executive Committee in
September 2003, following his
appointment as CEO in July 2001.
From 1998 till 2001 he was the
managing director of CFE, an
international building and dredging
group. Prior to that he worked
for 17 years at Gimv, heading the
venture capital activities. He is a
board member of BVA (Belgian
Venturing Association), CFE, P&V,
De Lijn and VEV-VOKA.
