Electrical Power System1. Existing Conditions:The main building switchgear is the original 480 volt service with most of the original distribution panelsstill in service. Distribution panels are reported to be full and at their capacity. Because of inadequateheating in the second floor office space, portable electric heaters are used by the occupants however; theelectrical power system capacity is challenged to support these heaters.2. Observations/Recommendations:The existing original switchgear and distribution panels are outdated and should be replaced. In addition,the building wiring and devices are beyond their useful and safe light so they too should be replaced.Because of inadequate capacity, the building service, switchgear, panel boards and distribution systemcapacity needs to be increased. This will allow elimination of portable electric heaters which are a safetyhazard.E. Lighting System1. Existing Conditions:Lighting throughout the building is older, inefficient fluorescent using T-12 lamps.2.
