1021A Junior Coaching Clinic was again conducted by the<strong>Club</strong> during the Christmas School holidays. Directed byBrian Booth and ably assisted by Tom Purcell this Clinicproved so successful the previous season, that Brian addedanother member to his team in Steve Bernard, a formerN.S.W. pace bowler.Conducted over a week this clinic touched on all aspectsof cricker and watching some of the results , achievedon the playing field, then the senior <strong>Club</strong> can look forwardto an abundance of very talented junior players comingthrough the ranks.All the coaching would not be possible without the assistanceof Capital Permanent Building Society. To them onbehalf of the <strong>Weston</strong> <strong>Creek</strong> Juniors I say a most sincerethank you for your support.Lastly I would like, on behalf of the Junior Committeeto thank all those people who gave up so much of theirtime to coach and organise the boys during the 1979/80season.Lauris EvansChairman Junior <strong>Cricket</strong>'..CommitteeTIM MORRIS - JUNIOR CRICKETER OF THE YEARCongratulations to Tim Morris on his exceptional featof being named "A.C.T. Junior <strong>Cricket</strong>er of the Year" forthe second successive year. Tim who has played all ofhis cricket with <strong>Weston</strong> <strong>Creek</strong>, had another outstandingseason scoring 516 runs, including 2 centuries and taking20 wickets in the under 15 competition .As well as performing outstandingly in the junior ranksTim's initial season in senior cricket saw him consolidatea position in the 2nd. grade team where hebatted with surprising maturity for one so young andbowled with great enthusiasm. His efforts were rewardedby his selection in first grade for the final match ofthe season.
