1021Statistical History of the <strong>Club</strong>COMPILED BY CHRIS BODYThe statistical history of the <strong>Club</strong> from its inceptionin 1975-76 to the end of the 1979-80 season appear inprint for the first time in the following pages.In the 1975-76 season and 1976-77 season the <strong>Club</strong> fieldedtwo teams in the sub-district grades. The followingseason the <strong>Club</strong> expanded to field four teams.Sub-district'A', Sub-district 'B', and two teams in the one-day competetion,with the Sub 'A' side making it to the final andlosing and Sub 'B' winning the Final.The big change occurred in 1978-79 when WCCC was admittedto 3rd and 4th. grades of the ACTCA. Again the <strong>Club</strong>expanded and this time to six teams- 3rd. grade,4th.gradeSub 'A', Sub 'B' and two one day sides. In that year the3rd grade made it to the final. Having well placed on thefirst day rain washed out the second day thereby robbingWCCC the premiership. Sub 'B' made the final and lost.The 1979-80 season saw the <strong>Club</strong> expand to field sevensenior teams with its provisional first grade status.After five years of senior cricket the <strong>Club</strong> now hasover 100 members. In its first year there were 44 membersOut of the 44, nine are still playing, while three membershaving retired from playing are active in ;the <strong>Club</strong>'sadministration.The following statistics span over five years of seniorcricket from 1975-76 to 1979-80.
