Tini Tinou International Circus FestivalPhare Ponleu Selpak (pps), a children’s development ngo in Cambodia,offers education and training in practical life skills, for instance in itshighly creative circus school. pps also directs Cambodia’s Tini TinouInternational Circus Festival, bringing together schools from aroundthe world that use circus arts as a means for personal development andintegration of youth living in difficult circumstances. Young artists andsenior artists meet and exchange ideas and skills through workshopsas well as by seeing performances from different countries. In 2008, incollaboration with pps, the <strong>Prince</strong> <strong>Claus</strong> <strong>Fund</strong> facilitated the partici -pation of 15 artists from Guinea’s Centre d’Art Acrobatique Keïta Fodébain a three-month residency at the pps circus school, involving artistictraining, promotion and management workshops, and eight performancesincluding as guest artists at the 2008Tini Tinou Festival.
