2011 PBS Annual MeetingConference InformationREGISTRATION DESK HOURSMonday, May 16 – 1:00 pm to 6:30 pmTuesday, May 17 – 7:00 am to 5:30 pmWednesday, May 18 – 7:30 am to 5:30 pmThursday, May 19 – 7:30 am to 12:30 pmThe registration desk, located in the Convention Center outside of the Crystal Ballroom, is your first stop forall questions regarding registration, badges, the agenda, and anything else requiring assistance.ANNUAL MEETING CREDENTIALSUpon checking in at the PBS Annual Meeting Registration Desk, all attendees will receive a name badge andofficial conference lanyard, sponsored by NHK World TV. Please display your name badge — which is yourticket to all conference activities — while attending sessions, meals, and other events at the PBS AnnualMeeting. If you lose your badge, please stop by the registration desk for a replacement.In addition to receiving your name badge at registration, conference attendees will also receive an officialPBS Annual Meeting tote bag, sponsored by Sesame Workshop, and the program guide, sponsored byWORLD (produced and distributed by WGBH, american Public Television and WNET). Attendees willreceive an agenda-at-a-glance, sponsored by Blackbaud and Target analytics.Attendees checking into the Orlando World Center Marriott will receive the official room key highlightingAMERICA IN PRIMETIME, sponsored by WETA/Washington, DC. This will serve as a quick reminder of greatPBS programming each time you head back to your room.NAME BADGESEveryone entering a meal event must wear his/her name badge.PBS CONNECT BOOTHWith more than half of the system logging on each month, PBS Connect is where your colleagues go to findresources and information and to share best practices. Social networking features such as ShareiT! andthe conference blogs keep you in the know. Stop by the PBS Connect kiosk near the PBS Annual MeetingRegistration Desk to learn a tip or two.CYBER CENTERSponsored by WNET New York Public Media/AMERICAN MASTERSTuesday, May 17 and Wednesday, May 18 – 8:45 AM to 5:45 PMLocated inside the Exhibit Hall, the Cyber Center provides several workstations for you to check your email orto tweet (@PBSAnnualMtg, hashtag #PBSam). These Internet workstations are used frequently, so we thankyou for limiting your use to five minutes when others are waiting. SPOLL EVERYWHEREMany of the professional development concurrent sessions willuse the text message voting application Poll Everywhere to gaugeyour interest, get your opinion, and learn more about you and yourstation. When you vote, the live results appear on the presentationdisplay. Poll Everywhere does not charge for voting on a poll. However,individual wireless carriers may charge a standard text message rate, whichvaries depending on the wireless carrier and messaging package you have(typically $0.01 to $0.20 per message, but check with your mobile carrier for pricing).To vote, send a text message to the number 22333 and include one of the key words given by the presenter.You can also vote by Twitter. Be on the lookout after the meeting foran email with complete details.EVALUATIONSWe need your feedback! Please complete a professional development concurrent session evaluation form foreach concurrent session you attend and drop it in the designated boxes outside of each room. Complete yourpersonal information and qualify for a post-meeting drawing for a Flip video camera. We will ask for youroverall reactions in a post-meeting survey to be sent by email the week of May 22. Watch for it in your inbox.3
