6.2 Opening and Closing the MEMOLUB ® HPS6.2.1 Opening the MEMOLUB® HPSTo open, place the lubricator upright on a flat surface. With onehand on top of the transparent housing, press firmly. With theother hand, hold the ribbed surface of the locking ring and turn itcounter-clockwise. Remove the locking ring and the transparenthousing.6.2.2 Closing the MEMOLUB® HPSTo close, use the same technique. Pressing down on the housing,hold the locking ring by its ribbed surface and turn it clockwiseuntil it clicks into the locked position. Ensure that the lockingring locks by holding the ring on its smooth surfaces and turningclockwise. If the housing is correctly locked into place, it will notbe possible to open it while holding the locking ring on its smoothsurfaces.6.3 Installing a Grease CartridgeReplace the grease cartridge using the following procedure:• Open the MEMOLUB ® HPS as described above (Section 6.2.1).• Prime the MEMOLUB ® HPS (ifnecessary) with a hand grease gun. Thisstep is required only if the MEMOLUB ®was permitted to operate without acartridge in place or operate with anempty cartridge. Do this by placing theoutlet of the hand grease gun on the inletof the MEMOLUB ® HPS and pumpinguntil grease appears at the outlet end ofthe MEMOLUB ® HPS. Two pumps ofgrease are generally sufficient.• Lift the black rubber seal back to reveal thebattery chamber, and insert the battery packinto the red housing by holding it by itsstrip. The battery pack has to be insertedaccording to the instructions on the redhousing.
