There was little talk of hard times anddifficult trading conditions as we mingled with operators, dealers andmanufacturers at the recent CV Show in Birmingham; in fact, nearlyeveryone we spoke to had a positive spin to put on the future.That was underscored in our ‘face to face’ interview with Iveco’sManaging Director for the UK and Ireland Luca Sra who tells us, ‘therecession is past and confidence is growing in the market.’ You can readthe interview in full in this edition in which we also carry a comprehensive round-up ofthe CV Show.We’ve also been speaking with DAF Managing Director Ray Ashworth who, too, is upbeat.He tells us the dealer network is buoyant and looking forward with a level of optimism tothe rest of 2012 and into 2013.With the longer days, truck festivals are making an appearance in several parts of thecountry and fully deserve your support.
