Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, February 23-27, 2011The 5-day IRTPLA was held at University Central Library, MohanlalSukhadia University, Udaipur from 23 rd to 27 th February 2011for college librarians of the region. The programme was jointlyorganized by INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad and MohanlalSukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur. Prof. I.V.Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor, MLSU, Udaipur inaugurated the training programme.Prof. L.N. Verma, former Deputy Librarian, University CentralLibrary, MLSU, Udaipur was the Guest of Honour in theprogramme. Prof. I V Trivedi also inaugurated the Swarna JayantiLibrary Wing of the University Central Library, MLSU, Udaipur.In the inaugural address, Prof. Trivedi expressed his satisfactionover the progress made in the library in automation of the libraryand computer networking facilities. Prof. A K Goswami, Officerin-Charge,University Central Library advocated for use of recentinformation technologies for better user services. Dr. KVenugopalan, Dean, P G Studies made a brief presentation oncampus networking.Shri Swapnil Patel, Scientist B (CS), INFLIBNET Centre along with the Participants of theIRTPLA Training Programme at UdaipurSixty six participants from different libraries of the Rajasthanstate participated in the programme. Shri Swapnil Patel, Scientist-B (CS), INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad delivered keynote addressfocusing on the initiatives of the INFLIBNET Centre pertainingto SOUL 2.0 and e-resources available through UGC-InfonetDigital Library Consortium and N-LIST Project to universitiesand colleges.
