Workshop on Dspace, University of Calicut,Kozhikode, January 3-7, 2011The C H Mohammed Koya Library, University of Calicut, incollaboration with the INFLIBNET Centre, organised 5-dayNational Workshop on Dspace from 3 rd to 7 th January 2011. Dr.Jagdish Arora, Director, INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabadinaugurated the Workshop. Prof. Anwar Jahan Zuberi, ViceChancellor, University of Calicut presided over the function. Dr.Abdul Azeez T.A., Librarian in-charge welcomed the participantsand guests. Mr. Manoj Kumar K, Scientist D, INFLIBNET Centre,Dr. K M Jayaram, Syndicate Member, University of Calicut andDr. K P Muraleedharan, Director, College Development Council,University of Calicut felicitated the function. Dr. K N Soman,Assistant Librarian proposed a warm vote of thanks.Besides Dr. Jagdish Arora and Shri Manoj Kumar K. fromINFLIBNET Centre, Shri Yatrik Patel, Scientist C, INFLIBNETCentre, Dr. Mohammed Salith T K, Information Scientist,University of Calicut, Dr. Mohammed Haneefa K, AssistantProfessor, DLISc, University of Calicut, Dr. M G Sreekumar,Librarian, IIM, Kozhikode, Mr. T R Nishad, Lime Consultants werethe resource persons for the Workshop. 25 participants consistingof library, information and computer science professionals fromvarious universities and institutions of nearby places participatedin the Workshop.Dr. Jagdish Arora, Director, INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad addressing the participants during Inaugural Session of theWorkshop on Dspace at University of Calicut, KozhikodeProf. T K Narayanan, Registrar, University of Calicut was theChief Guest for Valedictory Ssession. Dr. Abdul Azeez T.A.,Shri Manoj Kumar K and Shri Yatrik Patel also presented theirviews during the Valedictory Session. Feedback were obtainedfrom the participants in order to improve the quality of theworkshop in future. Certificates of Participation were distributedto all the participants.
