Ensuring high organisational profile of, and clear delivery expectations in relation<strong>to</strong> Dental Specialties, with integration in<strong>to</strong> Boards’ existing delivery systems for allo<strong>the</strong>r specialties.2. A critical success fac<strong>to</strong>r in <strong>the</strong> delivery of <strong>18</strong> weeks RTT is clearly recognisingthat <strong>18</strong> weeks applies equally <strong>to</strong> all Dental Specialties as <strong>to</strong> any o<strong>the</strong>r specialty.3. Embedding learning from o<strong>the</strong>r specialties regarding delivery e.g. <strong>the</strong>fundamental principles of waiting list management.4. Proactively pursuing accurate and fit for purpose data capture and its use locallyas a key source of health intelligence.5. Setting out and <strong>the</strong>n encouraging <strong>the</strong> uniform application of ‘clock starts’ and‘clock s<strong>to</strong>ps’ <strong>to</strong> facilitate <strong>the</strong> accurate measurement of <strong>18</strong> <strong>Weeks</strong> RTT for dentalspecialties.6. Ensuring accurate recording of treatments undertaken in an outpatient setting(including return outpatient appointments) so clocks are s<strong>to</strong>pped once firstdefinitive treatment is commended.7. Developing common pathways for Orthodontics and Oral Surgery, and drivinguniform implementation <strong>to</strong> ensure <strong>the</strong>se are embedded right across <strong>the</strong> healthcommunity on a sustainable basis.8.
