Multiple regression equations were calculated for CI and DSI. The best-fit multiple regression equation for DSIwas DSI= -764.96 + 23.16 (temp°) - 0.08 (temp°) 2 + 166.18 (pH) - 10.42 (pH) 2 - 1.89(temp°)(pH); R 2 = 0.92. The components that contributed to the model were similar tothose for CI, except that the quadratic response for temperature. At the optimumtemperature of 25°C, DSI was 100% at pH 6.0 (Fig. 2.6), which was the same as for CI.Above this pH, clubroot severity declined with increasing pH.51
